Bio: Formed in Southern California when vocalist Keith Miles (Holy Right) joined forces with guitarist Bill Menchen. Full length debut Beyond Hell’s Gate released on East West Records in 1989. A second album to be entitled Burn In Hell was started but never finished. In 2006 Miles and Menchen returned to the studio (with Robert Sweet of Stryper on drums) to complete the project, releasing it on Retroactive Records under new title Axe Of The Apostles.
Of Interest: Miles and Menchen also formed Titanic in the mid-nineties and released two albums: Maiden Voyage (1996) and Screaming In Silence (2002). Menchen has also recorded albums with Redeemer, Rev Seven, THE SEVENTH POWER and Menchen. A third Titanic project was recorded as well, Full Steam Ahead from 2007 with new vocalist David St. Andrew. Miles got his start in Holy Right with its 1986 release Stand As One.
Current Status: Final Axe is no longer active. Beyond Hell’s Gate was re-mixed, re-mastered and re-issued by Retroactive Records in 2010 with new album artwork and Robert Sweet (Stryper) handling all drum tracks.
