Bio: Musical creation of Swedish vocalist/guitarst Tommy Johansson, who spent several years in music school prior to conceiving idea of a “movie soundtrack mixed with melodic power metal”. Signed to Christian Music Sweden/Rivel Records after ReinXeed demo material made its way into hands of owner Christian Liljegren.
The Light, ReinXeed’s 2008 full length CMS/Rivel debut, was more of a project in that Johansson handled nearly all aspects of recording process, including lead vocals, rhythm and lead guitar, bass and keyboards. Jani Stefanovic (Divinefire & Essence Of Sorrow) filled in on drums.
CMS/Rivel follow up effort Higher from 2009 proved a full band effort in that two guitarists (Kerry Lundberg & Mattias Johansson), bassist (Ace Thunder), keyboardist (Henrik Fellermark) and drummer (Erik Forsgren) were recruited.
Current Status: Finished work on third ReinXeed album, Majestic.
